COMACA, a member of the Federation of the Italian Association of Mechanical and Engineering Industries (ANIMA), represents qualified and prestigious companies which manufacture plants and equipment for slaughtering and processing meat into a large variety of products. It offers its member companies, at a national and international level, assistance and representation services covering different sectors: technical, economic, promotional, etc.
In the technical field, COMACA cooperates with all organizations and committees concerned with standardization activity, certification (ISO 9000) and directives for CE Mark: information and documentation on the above are given to member companies in order to help them in rightly interpreting and applying what the official standards. The need to pursue main objectives such as safety, quality and technological innovation of products makes this service indispensable.
As for promotional activity, it contributes to disseminating and increasing knowledge of the “made in Italy” products of the sector, both through direct contacts with companies and through the circulation of informative documentation, particularly on the occasion of major exhibitions in Italy and abroad where it often coordinates the participation of its member companies.
COMACA cooperates with ICE (Italian Institute for Foreign Trade) in learning about and selecting initiatives to be included in promotional programs of the Italian Foreign Trade Ministry and supports ICE in the subsequent executive phase.
